Based in Amsterdam, Anita Voorham finished a four-year term in 2019 as a commissioner at The Netherlands Film Fund evaluating projects for funding at all stages. She began her career in the writer’s room; story-lining and writing for a number of successful Dutch series. She attended the Binger Filmlab as a creative producer, worked as a development executive for Dutch public broadcaster NTR and was invited by Torino FilmLab at its infancy as one of their core tutors. Furthermore, she joined Berlinale Script Station, Venice Biennale Cinema-College, Midpoint, the selection committee for IFFR’s CineMart, and has helped develop new initiatives such as the Incubator program for the Czech Film Fund aimed at training script editors. Anita also offers tailor-made workshops designed to help readers, decision makers, development executives and commissioners access and evaluate projects, both film and television, and communicate constructively with creators. She is a guest lecturer at EAVE and Midpoint and she is also a graduate of the EAVE 2018 Producers workshop.
In 2020 Anita founded her own production company, tabiki film, offering intensive and engaged development and the knowledge and network to connect creators with the right partners.
Anita has collaborated on films such as: Home by Fien Troch, selected to Venice Orrizonti 2016 and winner of Best Director, Las Herederas by Marcelo Martinessi, selected to Berlinale Competition 2018 and winner of 2 Silver Bears, a Febre by Maya Da-rin, selected to Locarno Competition 2019, winner Best Actor, L’Ospite by Duccio Chiarini, selected to Locarno Piazza Grande 2018 and many others.
